Visit the kelpforest....

So, I rushed to get here, late I thought, to do docks this morning and then get back in time for a staff meeting. At 6:20, I'd already put on my uniform shirt, my rubber boots, and my (non-uniform, but at least it's khaki) Powerpuff Girls hat, and went to get the clipboard, dock computer and car keys out of the storage cupboard when I looked at our big calendar board and realized both my scheduled dock day and and the meeting are not until next Friday. Not only that, but nearly everyone in the office is taking one of their furlough days today, so likely I will be one of the few people here even after 8 AM.

So I'm sitting here at my desk, office lights off, and watching the day outside gradually get brighter. I was kind of looking forward to going out to the harbor, but this is ok too.

Hmmm, that was a little worrying - my client that I'm writing in didn't want to talk to LiveJournal for a moment, but it seems ok now.
