Apr. 29th, 2004 10:57 pmAmazing. This house, or more properly, its garden, is featured in Sunset magazine this month. Well, only a one page article, but it's in my neighborhood, a mere two blocks away from me. We walked by it this morning. I've always liked the landscaping because it's full of kangaroo paws, which the hummingbirds love.

From Sunset Magazine.
This is the actual house, sort of a pseudo-Southwestern desert pueblo adobe; you can see the logs sticking out the sides and front near the roof for effect (the lawn belongs to the neighbor; distinctly undesert-ish). It actually looks kind of out of place here. The house across the street was remodeled to look Tudor English.

Edit: 3/5/05 - I'm glad I took this picture when I did. The neighbors whose lawn you see in the foreground put in a white picket fence a few months ago - which totally spoils how this house looks, at least from this angle across the street.
