Sunset over Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve. This is an ecological reserve near my home-it's only a mile or two long and less wide, and surrounded by suburbs. However, two endangered species nest there; the least tern and the Belding's Savannah sparrow. The sky was just crazy with multiple layers of clouds last Sunday - it was supposed to have rained, but all we got were a few sprinkles and some thunder and lightning. While Angus and I were taking these, a professional photographer showed up with a buddy to do the same - he also took a picture of us, handed us his card and offered to send usa copy.
