My neighbors across the street celebrated Earth Day by having the tree in front of the house chopped down. I realize some trees have to go, but dammit, it makes me sad.

Today would have also been my grandmother's birthday. She wouldn't have liked it either.

Nothing at all, although it was humping the sidewalk a bit (which was also replaced). Just as sad, they're probably going to tear down the house too - a 30's era home that was once one of the original oil company buildings. It's probably one of the last that old in this neighborhood. They've already started building behind it.
