You tell me...

Things that make you go hmmm....

slo_mo_panda's story

In Oregon...

And in Las Vegas...

Apparently, there's some debate as to who did it...

The Judge's decision...

...so it was only five forms, buuut....

I was considering changing my party affiliation before this election. I'm rather glad now I didn't.

(edit 12/11/2008 - voter registration shenanigans - which seem to have become fairly common...)

with all that craziness going on i am really glad that new hampshire allows same day registration on general election days.

i seriously think that they screwed up my registration, but i know that even if they screwed up, i can still reregister and vote on nov 2nd. new hampshire rules.

Even if there isn't intentional fraud going on, it's would have been too crazy to risk it. I heard around here the post offices were having Apr. 14 type traffic. Too easy for anything to get lost in the mail.

there is some serious fraud going on... i was listening to one of the stories the other day on npr... one company specifically was working in like 5 or more states that they have caught so far claiming to be a part of some other company and it was all kinds of not good.

there are going to be a lot of angry people not able to vote... it's crappy.

When I heard this on the news I was livid. There is more to the story too. Such as the people hired by this company are paid on commission, $5 per REPUBLICAN registration they turn in. So, they would ask which party, and if it wasn't republican they wouldn't register or would discard the democrat registrations in the garbage because they wouldn't get paid for it. They basically have a system set up that promotes fraud.

I have to admit that I haven't been watching the news much, and only heard about this at work after the judge's decision, and then I saw [livejournal.com profile] slo_mo_panda's post, so I looked the other stories up.

They didn't do enough ballot-box stuffing last time?
