runsamuck goes to White Castle...

...well, not really; they're frozen from the grocery store, but they bring back memories of his Michigan childhood. He'd eat a whole box by himself if we didn't make him share.

(btw, has anyone tried the new editing at Flickr; some of it is really handy)

I used the neutral picker under colors; worked really well. The auto color came out weird sometimes, but with this tool, you click on a color in the picture that should be white or gray, and the rest of the picture is adjusted accordingly. Sometimes you have to click a few different "neutral" things to find one that looks right - in this case, it wasn't the plate like you'd expect, but the white window frame in the backgound.

White Castle....

Tried some for the first time in July. I was a little hungry after returning some DVDs and the whitecastle was on the way home. I had heard how they were made so the thought of eating one never appealed to me. Well I decided to go in and order 10 I think. Got home and Mardie & I dug in. She ate 2 I ate the rest. They were pretty bad. The only thing that I can say about them was that they were edible, Cheap, and Roxie loved the one that Mardie let her have. Sliders is what they called back here.

So Mardie had 2, and Roxie ate one (of course she'd love it, she's a dog). That means you ate 7. They couldn't have been too bad!

I didn't think much of them either the first time I had them (and maybe they taste different frozen). But they grow on you. At least warmed up in the microwave, they're very moist and the flavor kind of permeates the whole thing. Pretty low burger to bun ratio, though, and they're just for every once in a while.

Actually, as my friend below points out, Ruby's has sliders on the menu.

You have to remember, we grew up with and are used to California burgers that have everything on them. It's not done that way in most of the country - remember Mom always complaining that lettuce and tomatoes always made the burger cold?

I kind of think so too - but he asked if the Flickr editing had a "remove ugly" button. Sheesh. He's no Brad Pitt, but he's just fine by me.

I think I got the crab cake version of them last time I went to Ruby's, but that was last year sometime.
