typical

To be fair, the middle house is on only a half size lot, but still...how would you like to have those neighbors towering over you?

On the same street...

new growth

The whole face of this neighborhood is changing.I don't mind additions, but most of these are complete teardowns and an ugly behemoth put in its place - no yard and takes up the entire lot. I hate it.

The green growth I like a lot, too! ;)

Tiny new branches sticking out halfway up the trunk of a flowering pear. They'll probably be clipped off later as suckers, but they're pretty now.

That's the sort of growth I like too. I was very happy driving home tonight and noticing all the new growth along the hedges. It seems like our warm (and wet!) weather over the past week has encouraged a growth spurt, and even just today it was obvious that my world is getting greener.

Happy happy joy joy!

Let them help out the economy while paying bloated mortgages, I say.

For a minute, I thought that was a photo showing a playhouse some family had built for their over-indulged child.

We have that problem too - teardowns rebuilt with monstrosities. Who the hell needs a 5,000 square foot house anyway?
