My co-workers felt this one, but I was either walking back from dropping Angus off at school, or in the car, so I missed it. They heard a boom, the building shook and all the windows were rattling. However, they were surprised they felt it at all, given it was only 2.6, but very close by. Westminster is the next town over, kind of between my home and where I work.

There's a little tiny red square in the Long Beach area on this picture (which is actually about 10 miles from Westminster, but given that a computer generates them, they're sometimes off).

If you're a member/reader of [livejournal.com profile] molluscious, [livejournal.com profile] invertebrates, or Pharyngula, you've already seen this and you can skip it. Or you may have seen it on the news (which I don't watch much of, so I missed it).

But for those of you that aren't, man, this is trippy. Be sure to watch the video.

I think it goes right along with this T-shirt. The cephalopods are walking - they're preparing to come ashore...
