senoritafishTwo works-in-progress that I need to get my butt in gear and get finished....
This the one my co-worker at work asked for as a gift for her new granddaughter. At first she said a cowgirl, them emailed me later and said I could throw a fish in there if I liked. This got me thinking about that old Disney cartoon with Pecos Bill andSluefoot Sue, where she comes riding down the Rio Grande riding a giantcatfish. I guess this would be her as a little girl. I'm planning on coloring the catfish like a red-tail catfish, the ones you commonly see at public aquariums.
I've got that thing with fitting the whole thing on the page going on again; didn't have room for the fish's tail, and the top of her head wound up spreading onto the facing page (pieced it together and added extra space after I scanned it). I don't draw people very often, sodoes she look totally off or what? I still don't know what to charge;maybe I'll just make it a gift.
I thought I'd do a gift art for someone who got a certain pageview, just to motivate myself. The person who got it is an Inuyasha fic writer who has her own huge following. My initial offer was to draw a fish, so I suggested for her, since Inuyasha is a dog-demon, I would try drawing him as a dog-fish! She liked that idea. So here's my start on him.
Still need to get them both cleaned up, colored, and finished.
