Apr. 6th, 2003 11:50 pmJust got back from seeing the Cowboy Bebop movie with D. and her son. *sighs happily* I swear there were times I completely forgot it was animated. I think what I like most about was that a lot of it was actually fairly lighthearted. Even during many scenes full of tension or suspense there was something thrown in that was funny. Jet is a mother hen, Ed is made of rubber, and Faye's shirt is held on with SuperGlue. But you already knew that. Why did you click here?

Date: 2003-04-07 09:15 am (UTC)now being distributed here. It's only playing in a few cities but it is
playing in Dallas. Go to www.cowboybebopthemovie.com (www.cowboybebopthemovie.com) and click on theater
listings to find out where it's playing (you'll have to grit your teeth -
it's in Flash). You might want to go soon - in the paper this weekend, the
theater in Los Angeles advertised that it was only playing for a week!
Here's some reviews if you're interested - this is one series I only rarely
see anything negative about.
A space cowboy who doesn't pull his
punches - The Japanese animé 'Cowboy Bebop' recalls film noir rather than
American cartoons.

Dirty Harry in outer space? - Or maybe
Philip Marlowe and Sam Spade. Whatever, Japan's 'Cowboy Bebop' takes the
tough guy with a soft heart into the interplanetary world of adult animation.

'Cowboy
Bebop' is offbeat and fun - Lush, smart animation makes the feature a
pleasure.</ (http://www2.ocregister.com/ocrweb/ocr/article.do?id=33093)
