• When changing him before bed the other night, he's laying there with no pants on, waiting for me to put on clean diaper and tells me, "I'm Mr. Nudie!"
  "Huh?" I asked, with an alarming vision of him working for Chippendales in about 20 years appearing in my head.
  "You know, Elmo's friend,"
  "Oh, Mr. Noodle."
  Right on, Mom.
  


• This morning, he and John were watching Elmo, who said something about "Socks in the City."
  Gareth said indignantly "Socks aren't in the city!"
  "No? Where are they?"
  "They're on my feet!"
  
  (and is anyone else wondering why Elmo is referencing an adult HBO show? Just curious.)

i think those references are there for the parents who have to watch the programming with the children. i absolutely love watching the 'tv' segment because i can't wait for that part.

Oh, I'm aware of that; I watch cartoons all the time with jokes that the target audience would never get. I was just a little suprised it was that particular show.
