This is something I want to get involved in. My backyard is a jungle already, but most of the weeds are probably not native plants. It's going to take a lot of work before I can certify my backyard, I think. But bug me about it once in a while. It'll motivate me. I'm tired of all the lawn services in these rich neighborhoods around me pouring a lot of chemicals on the lawns and it running down the gutter into the ocean. Not good for insects, birds or my kids.
