Dec. 2nd, 2002 04:36 pmKilling time waiting for John to pick me up. I'm leaving a bit early, although not as early as I meant to, because I have to catch a plane to Sacramento tonight for a computer class for the next two days. Probably the last travel I will get to do on the states dime for a while, considering what may be happening with the budget. It's not going to be pretty starting in January.
A. gave every a beautiful Christmas ornament today: a glass orb that she had slipped hand-made tatting around. The center looks like a double row of Christmas wreaths. When I get back, I will have to dig out my office decorations. I haven't put them up since before we moved the office, but I always used to set up my Trek Tree. I have a little artificial tree, some wire garlands covered with stars, and all my little Micro Machines Star Trek ships, representatives all the series, plus a few of my Hallmark Trek ornaments around the bottom. I think I will have to find a place of honor for Dr. McCoy, since he's gone now.
The last time I had it up, I had Capt. Kirk out. He's leaning forward in his chair with his chin on his hand, and I guess someone thought he looked like he was in the john. They had given him a tiny newspaper and put a little roll of toilet paper in his hand.
