Oct. 23rd, 2002 10:43 amI got an email at work from a guy who used to be my boss (actually my boss's boss) when I was a gill net observer back in New Hampshire, more than a decade ago. He works now for a telecommunications company that lays cable on the seafloor, and needed to notify my department's enforcement people (I guess they had told all the other agencies, and then ran into one of our boats, who knew nothing about it - oops). Anyway, he emailed me again, asking how the faimily was and if the kids were Trekkers yet! Heh, apparently he was quite tickled at the fact that I was one back then (still am), to the point that I had bumper stickers on my pickup saying "At Warp Factor 9, They All Look Green to Me!" and "Starfleet Academy" in the back window.
He answered again, and apparently he is in touch with my other supervisor back then. I have fond memories of when I worked back there. Pete would often have me over for dinner with his family, as I didn't really know anyone back there. So, I'll have to email him and see how his family is doing. His kids must be grown up by now!
(Hmm, we're supposed to have some ITB people here today, so I guess I'd better uninstall this off my computer for the time being, in case they do an inventory)
