A guestbook entry from a Yahoo Serious fansite which has since been retired....
The FLIX channel was playing Reckless Kelly (which I have seen the tail end of about 5 times, but never the whole thing, Argh! I always find it when I'm flipping channels!), and I thought I would look up Yahoo Serious. Young Einstein is one of my favorite movies - never mind that the premise is preposterous, and the science is off (and I'm a scientist, too) - I think Albert himself would've gotten a charge out it; he doesn't strike me as one who took himself too "Seriously" (Ha!).
I first saw "Young Einstein" in Tasmania, where I was traveling after a year of being an exchange student at University of Queensland. When Yahoo announced "I'm a Tasmanian!" the whole audience just cheered! I've seldom been in a theater that was so into a movie!
And while watching Reckless Kelly, I was interested to see Hugo Weaving (the bad guy), who is in another of my favorite movies - "The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert" - if you haven't seen it, it's a totally different look for him.
Anyhoo, great to find your website for us Yahoo worshippers! Poor guy must be suffering to be confused with an internet company. The picture of him in the tub with the violin is my favorite (and in the movie too, where his parents tell him to finish doing the dishes, and he takes the silverware out the same tub! ;-) ) I'm excited to hear of a new movie of his coming out soon, does anyone know what it's about?
I have the YE soundtrack; and would be glad to make you a copy if you still don't have it. Does anyone know if there's a soundtrack for RK?
