I'd always kind of wondered how Google Maps got its Street View pics. This morning I was driving to work and, trying to be a good driver and constantly keep my eyes moving, noticed something odd in my rear view mirror. A small car with a very large Thingie...




Only the rear view mirror as I was about to make the turn into my office parking lot; I was feeling a bit guilty as the news radio had just finished a story on distracted driving with cell phones. As it passed me, it did indeed say Google Maps Street View on the side. The roundish thing at the top of the mast was a bright red case with several ports for cameras. Maybe they just came from Victorville...

Heh, I've been told I should check for a street view update in a few days to see if my car (actually my dad's old beat up Daewoo) shows up in the picture.
