She was a very sweet dog - she'd been blind for the past 4-5 years, and was diagnosed with cancer back in September. She actually lasted much longer than expected, but she started acting like she was actually in pain last weekend, so it was time to say good-bye.
But I'm more sad for my brother. She was like his child, and he had custody from a former significant other.
