Bob is not quite officially retired just yet, and he and my boss visited our office as well...and he got another cake. I don't think I actually took this picture; Paul borrowed my camera and got this nifty angle, which I'll have to keep in mind.

What a cute cake! Cake Wrecks has made my expectations for cupcake-cakes terribly low, but that's adorable. :)

Heh, I'd forgotten this was a cupcake-cake. It was terribly cute, and of course a retiring marine biologist has to have some kind of sea critter on their cake. The cupcakes make serving so much easier, but SO MUCH FROSTING!! I think it must be 2" thick under that octopus.
Ever since I took a cake decorating class when I was a kid, I've never cared for too much frosting.
