senoritafish: (A cunning plan)

I had a pair of khaki jeans I couldn't wear to work because I'd gotten a large permanent stain on them. They were otherwise good pants, so I decided to dye them.

Given your current mood, I gather that it worked? And did not end up dying all sorts of other things?

Worked pretty well actually. The seams didn't take the dye so well, but contrasting stitching isn't all that uncommon. Nothing else was dyed (or died, either ;p), although I think one of my kids white tshirts snuck in with them in a later washing of darks and turned very slightly pink.

Did the dying work out ok?

Came out quite well, thanks. They're probably fading a bit faster than a regular pair of pants, but that's ok. And they're now a color that hides anything I spill on them. This is why I usually don't get anything light-colored, because I'm such a klutz I will always get something horrible on them.

It does look rather coffee/chocolaty, doesn't it.
