Two of the fry had coupons for a free meal at Ruby's that they got as a reward from school, so we walked out to the one on the end of the pier for lunch. Had to wait for 45 minutes and

Big set coming in.
runsamuck and I used to live in an RV park right next the Edison plant you can see a mile or so down the coast.
The kite shop on the pier - it has this sign on the front which makes me laugh.
And back home again - the fry pointed out that this species tulip in our planter was blooming. They're a little passe' already, but it made me very happy to see them.
You see, my mom planted these. She passed away about fourteen years ago. I didn't see them last year, and was sad because I thought they had died as well.
