I've been meaning to take a picture of these plants for awhile, but I usually see them when I'm on the bus. I've been driving to work lately and I don't usually take the same route; however, today I spaced and went forward where I usually turn left, and paused at a red light just even with them. These are the only greenery for about 75 yards in every direction, being placed on the side of a cell phone store which was once some sort of car repair place, and adjacent to the parking lot, surrounded by asphalt. They must be pretty tough as they get the searing afternoon sun everyday, and whatever heat reflects off the pavement. Whoever has charge of them trims them into these odd, spiky christmas tree shapes. Someday I will actually stop and get out my vehicle for decent pic, but I'm always seem to late to get somewhere...
