Jan. 27th, 2009 01:35 pmDoug called me to ask for some of Avalon's measurements - from the back of her neck to just below her elbow - because he was making her a poncho, and he was almost finished with it. It sort of looks gray below, but it's actually pink and blue; that sort of yarn that gradients from one color to the other. Then he emailed these photos to ask how she would like the little flower decorations put on.

She's pretty lucky to have an uncle that makes things like this, because her mom is pretty clueless at needlework...
Btw, this is a pretty simple item for Doug. I bet he could have made it in his sleep (that's a compliment, Doug)! He has a lot of even more gorgeous stuff at his Flickr account.

I think between #1 and #2, the first is more interesting.
