There's a neighborhood the next city over where nearly all the houses massively decorate their lawns for the holidays; we hadn't been in a couple of years so when Beth and her grandneice came in from Riverside, we thought we'd check it out. I swear it's like Disneyland - in previous years they had to close off the neighborhood to outside traffic and you could only walk in. This year, you could drive through but there was no parking unless you had a permit. We parked in a nearby shopping center and walked. Angus like this house because of all the Pokemon figures. Note: that is not snow - people actually put quilt batting over their grass to look like it. This has probably been going on for a good 20 years, and I notice that a lot of the original houses have stopped, but more houses in other parts of the neighborhood have joined in.

This is probably one of the oldest participating houses; the green tower to the left is actually a doll-sized ski-lift that goes up to the roof and back. The dolls throw snowballs at each other and one of them is headfirst in the snow, kicking his skis back and forth.

Closeup of snowball kids - she throws it at the boy, then it flies back to her hand and she throws it again.

This tree had so many lights it must have taken forever to get them all on.

And finally, potty humor will always make me grin like a fourth grade boy.
