Apparently the light fixture above my desk and the cube next door has been out for some time; I never really noticed because of the window. Today after lunch, one of the building guys came in to fix it (it was the ballast or something, not the bulb), so I went in the breakroom and made a cup of tea, and read stuff on my phone for a few minutes until he finished.

Now I feel like I'm squinting; it's too bright! Normally we only have half the lights on anyway; when did we start having them all on at once?

I'll join you in the squint-fest...I think they changed bulbs here and it seems SOOOO bright! Maybe it's just that it's so dang gray outside.

At any rate, perhaps you can ask to have the light de-activated?? Would the person in the cube next door mind?

I'll have to ask her - maybe she feels the same way. Could probably just turn the switch off, but that would turn half the other lights off too.

Maybe I'll just start wearing my cap. ;)
