My garden club had a little outing down to Wiedner's Gardens in Leucadia, who grow many of their own plants and offer a field where you can dig up your own begonias. Tons of beautiful plants and flowers; however, I post what becomes very important on a trip with a long drive.

It was so far away behind the greenhouses they had to put up encouraging signs.

It was a very furry Shetland pony, the one of three (and a goat) that didn't bite, according to the signage. They looked rather hot, as it was unseasonably warm that day. They had a small coral next to a children's play area at the first nursery.

So many orchids I'd never laid eyes on at that place...
