High surf...

Last week there were warnings of coastal flooding because of huge wave sets in the early morning, on top of +6 ft. high tides. I wanted to get down to beach to try and get some pictures, but as it was during the work week, was never able to. I did notice driving along the beaches in the afternoon that the large waves had cut back the berm of beach fairly steeply (looked like about 4-5 ft.!), like a small cliff.

However, the fine folk at DiveBums.com submitted surf pics in lieu of diving since they were unable to go:

Check out the ones at Children's Pool, La Jolla, especially the animated one - that seawall is where I stood to get the pics of harbor seals, posted here. Wow! No seals that day!
