I was invited to join a group at Flickr that's nothing but buoys and floats, so I took this with them in mind when I was out at the docks. A corner of LA Harbor, with booms and ship bumpers.




A great blue heron was picking his way around on the booms, actually catching a tiny fish here and there. I waited for a bit before he came around to the front where he was easily seen.
