Further Garethisms...
Jul. 20th, 2007 03:22 pmOn watching powdered creamer floating on my coffee dissolve:
"Oh no! The Galapagos Islands are siiinnnkking..."
---------
Gareth also always refers to puddles of water in the dip at an intersection as "a swordfish," because they are often wider at a deeper spot, but narrow down to a thin trickle where it's shallow, or where water is newly trickling down the street after someone has watered their lawn or something. Sometimes it does look very much like the outline of a large muscular fish with a long, narrow bill. I keep meaning to take a picture of one, but despite taking my camera on walks quite often, I never seem to have it when he points one out.
