It's been big news (colossal, even...) here lately. It's all very mysterious because they've only released a couple of photos, and the thing's been packed away somewhere for a secret transport to the museum in Wellington. But the media's buzzing. They had a phone-in session on the radio while I was at work yesterday where people could pick a name for the squid. There were tacky pun names, alliteration-based names, and one little old lady who wanted to call him 'Ross'. o_O
