I guess I should have believed Gareth when he said he had a cold on Monday. He sure wasn't acting like it, and he only mentioned it right before going to school, so I thought he was trying to get out of going. I should have known better - unlike Angus, he actually likes going to school. Still, he didn't get sent home, so I don't think he was too bad off.
I hate waking up at 3:30 am because my nose is suddenly running down my face. Still at work because of stuff I have to get done before going to Portland next week, but trying to minimize my germ spreading by staying in my cube and washing hands often.
I was listening to RightStuf.com's Anime Today podcast yesterday on the bus and in the little segment on Japanese culture, Kris and Judy were relating how blowing your nose in public is considered extremely rude in Japan (many of you on my list probably already know this); you're supposed to leave the room, which gets a little inconvenient if you're eating something spicy. Must be a pain for people with allergies; John would never be able to appear in public if we visited.
