senoritafishI've spent the last couple of days home sick, as is my whole family. For once, I seem to have it worse than my husband. I have a sore throat that seems to be affecting my eustachian tubes; my ears hurt every time I swallow. John just took all three kids to the doctor - the oldest and youngest were complaining their ears hurt, and Gareth has goopy eyes. I know the boys are a little disappointed to be staying home from school today, because they were supposed to be participating in the school jogathon, fun for them because everyone gets a medal.
A surprise at work - based on my holiday card,one of the support staff asked me to draw something for her son/daughter-in-law, who are having a baby at the end of the month. Her son had a little embroidery thing decorating his room when he was a kid, with a little boy dressed up as a cowboy, badana across his face,and the caption "Please be patient with me - God isn't finished with me yet!" She wants something similar, only for a girl. I'm a little nervous, as you can see from my gallery I don't do people very much.She also mentioned payment, and I have no clue how much people ususally charge for a 5x7 drawing. I told her I would give it a try though, and I've been looking through the stock pictures of kids I can find for something to use as a reference.
It's just started raining again as it's been off and on for the last couple of week, and the kids are back from the doctor: three ear infections and one case of pink-eye. Joy.
I think I'm going to go lie down for awhile now...
