senoritafishGot stuff to make costumes Saturday. I finally found plain short-sleeved kid's tshirts in the right colors at the 3 for $10 store, then to Joanne's for fabric and craft supplies for Angus's. I found some wide gold ribbon for a belt and wristbands in selection of scraps, and they had tissue lame' fabric on sale for half off $1.99 a yard. It wound up being cheaper than the felt I got to make a collar. I went with cobalt blue with that just for some contrast, and some fake gems, glass beads, rick-rack, and gold fabric paint. I had to put back some pricier glass beads that would have looked cool, but we'll make do.
Remember to haul out sewing maching tonight. Only a minor amount of stitching, but jeez, I hope I remember how to use the thing. My mom's old Husqvarna - it always struck me as amusing that they made both sewing machines and motorcycles. There's probably some mending that needs to be done too, if I can find it...
