Sniffles and the Pharaoh...
Sep. 30th, 2005 11:57 amI have the sniffles. We had a pretty sickness-free summer, but once school starts we can count on a new virus being brought home every six weeks or so. Ah well, a new test for the immune system. It's not too bad, mostly just a clogged nose, a little sinus pain, and my eyes feel so dry I don't want to keep them open for very long, although that could also be because we been having Santa Ana conditions for the last few days. Angus stayed home on Monday, but it really didn't slow him down much.
Speaking of whom, he got in trouble yesterday for taking the "pharaoh" thing a little too far. Apparently, he told his teacher, she couldn't make him do something because "I'm the Pharaoh" and the principal had a little talk with John about it. He tried that with me the other day, and I told him "Mom outranks the Pharaoh," but I guess I didn't make it clear enough that means adults at school, too. We've now agreed the Pharaoh persona gets left at home, just like other things he plays with.
Still, he's kind of funny running around at home with a dish towel on his head. You can guess what he wants to be for Halloween.
