AL brought in a box each of Krispy Kreme donuts and donut holes, as she does when the mood takes her, and set them in the hallway on a file cabinet to trap the unwary. VT's stance is that the holes are just "full of evil." They trick you into thinking that since they're smaller, they are therefore innocuous. However, they then cast a spell and force you to take one every time you walk by. You would have been safer just ingesting the donut.

KP pointed out, "more surface area for frosting, too..." as another one disappeared.
