I wonder if I can make journal entries with this? Hmmm, a little slow using the thumb typing, but it should pick up with practice. It's a little awkward that all the special characters are accessed by a function key, but I don't think this thing is really designed for extended typing. Ooh, my forearms are starting to get tired; maybe I’m holding it wrong. I think the problem is that the letter keys are down at the bottom, with the screen at the top. Let’s try just try holding it with one hand and typing with the other. Hmmm, not much better. I'm noticing this screen is kind of hard to see when it's bright out.
Sitting here at Pt. Fermin just in case a boat happens by; I’m not too hopeful. Everyone seems to be tied up, but I’m not that familiar with all the gillnet boats. It's foggy, but the sun is starting to burn through, and it's getting bright. I can’t see anything but gulls and pelicans. While they’re interesting, they’re not really why I'm out here. Once more around the harbor to see if I can find any mobile dealers, and then back to the office. Can’t wait to ensconce myself in the microscope room and start looking at mackerel otoliths.;p
Funny, a guy just came up and asked if I liked my job, because he was thinking about going to the warden academy. I told him I was a biologist (see, no gun - that's why I dislike wearing this uniform shirt) looking for commercial fishing boats.
Hoo, getting hot. Nothing's happening; guess I'll head back.
