List five fictional people -- from television, movies, books, whatever -- that you had a crush on as a child (or early teens). Then post this on your LiveJournal so other people can be assured that you're as weird as they thought.

Hmm, hard to remember....

  1. Spock (and I suppose that set me up for being attracted to a long series of emotionally unavailable men, or least men that weren't attracted to me...)

  2. Horatio Hornblower (oh yes, well before the A&E series - and he has a lot in common with the above character)

  3. Horatio Nelson (not fictional, but he'd been dead for about 170 years)

  4. Aslan (well, I guess I always was a borderline furry. My friend Anne liked Reepicheep, but he just seemed too full of himself...)

  5. Starsky (Beth and I used to have arguments about who was cuter - she was the big Hutch fan)

I forgot about Spock - except my crush is on him from the 60's is a bit out of date. I only first saw the Star Trek's in the late 1990's. Does that count?

Why not? I didn't see the original series when it first aired - I probably would have been about six. I do remember seeing a bit of the Charlie X episode at my grandmother's house, when he was making people's faces disappear; that scared me and I went and hid behind her couch until it was over. I probably first became enamoured of Spock, oh, 6th, 7th grade? Been a Trekker for a long time. :D
