I've read about many people changing the day they celebrate a birthday or anniversary if it originally fell on 9/11. However, V.'s birthday is tomorrow and she has demanded that we go to Islands for lunch. It was her birthday first. And I agree with her. Life as usual. Do what you were doing before.

Or they win, right? This is not to say we won't be commemorating it in some small way. Maybe we'll drop by miss_geek's beach bonfire in the evening. I think I'd like to be away from the TV for awhile.

One thing's for sure. Nobody has any excuse for forgetting when her birthday is.

please do come by... i'm not opposed to singing happy birthday either... it's not really an event so much as i just wanted people around... and bonfires are nice...

I was going to email you as well, but you beat me to it. We probably won't be there as soon as you start (kids being difficult to organize, as I'm sure you know) but we'd like to come by! I think it's quite appropriate.
