John broke yet another of his teeth. And not one that's been worked on before either. I'm tempted to just tell the dentist to pull all of them out and put in implants. Except that won't be covered either. He won't be able to go until after the first when we have a new deductible.

He broke a tooth just before last Christmas, too, I think. What is this, number 5 in the space of a year? I keep telling him the M&M's just before bedtime are a bad idea.

That's too bad!! I've never broken a tooth - but I can imagine it's not pleasant. . .

Chocolate, by itself, isn't the worst of candies as far as teeth go. It dissolves thoroughly.

It's the candy coating, carmel, nougat, peanut butter, whatever, and nuts that are bad.

I know all I have to do is eat 4-5 of them and my teeth feel furry. It's definitely the coating on them, because plain chocolate doesn't do that. Yecch.

My teeth aren't the best, but I've avoided a root canal so far.

I was pleasantly suprised today when I got a clean bill of health at the dentist, for once. My parent's insurance keeps shrinking, they now pay half of all costs beyond cleanings. That's a significant drop.

My honey eats before bed a lot too and I try to convince him not to, but he's never had a cavity! I'm not even certin how many I've had. Ugh, I hope they were my last.

Good luck with getting the hub treated. It sounds nasty!

Heh! I remember a guy in college who never had a cavity in his life, despite sporadic brushing and he never flossed. He had a gorgeous smile, perfectly straight teeth, and he planned to go to dental school. We told him he'd be an awful dentist - he'd have absolutely no empthy for his patients.

Ah well, most of 'em don't anyway!

Unfortunately, my dental insurance only covers about half for my spouse as it does for me.

Does he at least brush and floss before bed?!?

Of course, right before the holidays things like this occur!

Sounds like he is eating M&Ms filled with metal!

I have been getting better dental 'seals of approval' when I began brushing after eating lunch at the office.
