Why I like my Sharp digital camera...

(or, I'm a sucker for market research...)
This was my second camera, after a first HP point-n-shoot one, and I liked that it could still be used in a completely automatic mode, but had all the manual settings as well, more like an SLR. It impressed me that it was reasonably priced and had a Canon lens, and a substantial metal body. I've dropped it a couple of times with no ill effects. (John pointed it out on sale at Fry's - he was trying to cheer me up right after the Columbia accident)
As I've used it over the last year and half, I've been quite happy with it. The only thing I'm becoming a little dissatisfied with it the lack of a manual focus, especially in macro mode. It will often go right past the focus point of what I'm trying to photograph, and I can't manually adjust it back.
I would buy the next step up of this camera if it existed. Unfortunately, as I found when visiting the Sharp website to get a driver update, producing these cameras must have been an experiment, as they only seem to have been made for one year.
