I'll have to think good thoughts for Angus today. He's having his very first math test. Luckily, math seems to be his strong point, so I don't think he'll have too much trouble. I got him up early this morning to finish his spelling words. I have to keep on him every minute, or he'll just stare out the window (I remember doing the same). It didn't help the toilet decided to overflow again in the middle of it. I walked back in the bathroom and stepped in a flood clear over to the hall carpet. Yech! So I had to mop that up as well.
Last night was Back to School night, and the first thing Mr. C. did was buttonhole us, saying he wanted to talk to one of us about Angus within the next week. I signed up for next Thursday before work - John thought it should be me because he's worried about he'll get nervous and aggressive. But so far he seems to be doing ok behavior-wise; he's gotten SuperYous for the last two weeks for being on "green-lite" all week (Mr. C. has a construction paper traffic light at the back of the room with everyone's name on a clothespin. You start the day clipped to the green light and get moved to yellow or red if he has to ask twice, or you act up or something). Mr. C. did tell me last week he had left the room for a couple of minutes to speak to some boys in the hallway, and Angus started to flip out a little because he looked up and the teacher wasn't there. He knows now to give him some warning.
Gareth's teacher had no specific comments about him, other than he's very outgoing. And unlike Angus, Gareth actually enjoys doing his homework, although he needs more pratice writing his name.
