Drip, drip, drip...
Sep. 7th, 2004 01:51 amOh and the toy of the day is a pair of soda bottles connected by a short plastic tube, in which water drains from one bottle to the other in the shape of a tornado. The kids are fascinated with it. They squabble over who gets to try to shake it up next, and I think Gareth wanted to sleep with it, in place of Sharkie (his 18" plastic great white). I find it kind of fun myself, turning it over and shaking it in a circular motion - sort of a liquid hourglass, if you only need to time about 30 seconds and don't mind kick starting it.
This morning I was on the computer and suddenly I heard a liquid wet dripping sound. I turned off the fans for a moment because I was a little alarmed - it sounded like it was coming from inside the wall. After a minute or two, I finally realized the bottle device was lying on the bed, and slowly draining from one bottle to the other.
