Well, I did hear Punxatawny Phil didn't see his shadow last week. These were in my front planter this weekend - it was surprisingly warm too - the kids wanted me to get the wading pool out.

Chess...

John is teaching Gareth to play chess the last month or so. He's getting pretty good, and is already starting to think several moves ahead. He looked into joining the chess club at his elementary school, but it costs $80! I don't think it cost anything when I was a kid.

Went to Barnes & Noble for my book group meeting and it was socked in by the time we left. runsamuck tried to go to a friend's house from here to feed their cats (they went to Vegas for a few days), and had to turn back as it got foggier and foggier the farther he drove.


*I forgot, they added a bunch of new restaurants and stores and built a Cheesecake Factory over my favorite place to park, so they had to give it a fancy Italian name.
