senoritafish: (That's Ms. señoritafish to you!)
It amazes me how bloated Access databases can become. I could not figure what was taking up more than 800 MB on my elderly JAZ disk, when most of it was my monthly report stuff, which shouldn't take up that much space. I realized it was my first attempt at putting it in Access, so I opened the database and ran Compact and Repair on it. It magically shrunk down to 2 MB. What the hell is it doing with all that space?!

*Shakes head* Amazing. I hope this is something they teach to new Access users right off the bat. I think we had to figure it out for ourselves.
