Weirdness in the Quest family
Oct. 27th, 2002 01:30 amJonny Quest is on. I can never look at this with the same eye since Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law. Where Race is suing Dr. Quest for custody of Jonny and Hadji, and they've been longtime companions for years. It's a scream.
As far as that "new" one they used to show, where the kids are teenagers, the sudden appearance of Race's daughter always made me wonder why she had red hair (just like Jonny's dad) and Jonny was blond (like Race).

A spooky Halloween story...
Oct. 27th, 2002 09:17 amA Little Black Death (courtesy Fray.com - a great place for story telling)
Hmm, I'm not so afraid of spiders; on Girl Scout campouts, I was always the one getting woken up at 3 AM to get a spider out of someone's tent. I'm trying to think of something to add to the end. Hmm, maybe leeches?

What's Your Best Quality?
Leeanne, your best quality shines through in how Easygoing you are!
The fact that you're a calm, relaxed person who tends to take life in stride really draws people to you! But that's not the only thing. Your answers on the test indicate you're a caring and considerate person who is typically very loving, as well. You are a funny person who is likely known for your great sense of humor, too. Did you know that easygoing people are less judgmental than others?
The Ultimate Personality Test
Leeanne, you're an Observer!
That means you’re one of the more kind-hearted people around. You are unusually intuitive, and you probably understand yourself, as well as others. That also means you’re a good mediator — though you may prefer to spend more quiet time on your own than most. You are an indispensable equalizer amongst the various groups that comprise your life. You feel that the spotlight and center stage were made for other people to act out their fantasies.
Because of the self-knowledge you already possess, you are better equipped than many to steer your life in the right direction. Understanding more about the components of your personality will reveal unique information that even people like you might not realize. And the better you know yourself, the more confident you’ll be making decisions that affect your life.
Unfortunately, one of my bad qualities is that I'm cheap, and I'm probably not going to pay $30 to find out more and how I can put this to good use.

A first for the Angels....
Oct. 27th, 2002 10:46 pmWhee, the Angels won! I'm not a huge sports fan but I did watch the last couple of innings and it actually got pretty exciting. "CATCH THAT FLY - CATCHITCATCHITCATCHITCATCHIT!!!!!" It was a bit sad, though, when they showed the footage of the Giant's manager's son, about 5 years old, crying his eyes out because Daddy lost. I could hear people around the neighborhood yelling and screaming - the kids and I went outside and you would've thought it was New Year's Eve, with all the yelling, firecrackers and bottle rockets going off. I was suprised we didn't hear any fireworks or such from the Stadium - ususally when they set them off at Dismalland we can hear the booms.
For the Angels, however, going to Disneyland would be redundant.
