What are you wearing today? Jeans, black Dr. Martin's sandals, a long sleeve t-shirt with NOAA Fisheries Observer logo on the front, and Ray Troll's picture Fisheries Observer on the back, a barrette holding my pony tail shaped like a bunch of cats, and a Spongebob Squarepants watch.
When is the last time you flew on an airplane? The last time I went to Sacramento for training - an Access class, I think...About a year and a half ago, before the state budget completely went to hell, and we were allowed to travel.
Do you know how to change the oil in your car? I could if I had to. I used to do it on my pick-up, but the Trooper is unwieldy. John usually does it.
What is in your cd player right now? At work, Try Whistling This - Neil Finn, here at home, listening to Trigun.
What is your favorite fruit? fresh mangos, not too ripe.
When is the last time you listened to live music? Alasdair Fraser (a Scottish fiddler) and Bad Haggis, at the Costa Mesa Scottish Games.
Do you worry about terrorism? I think that's a sure formula for going insane.
When was the last time you had a date with husband/wife? The Sunday before Memorial Day. John's mom took all three of the kids, and we got to go out to dinner, even if it was only to Mimi's.
Did you play any sports in high school? I was a band geek. I played alto sax and spent most of my Friday nights in the fall waiting for the half-time at the football game. I had archery once for PE and in college I was on the Geology club's softball team (called the Copralites), and a dart team.
What is the one trait you hope to raise your children with? Tolerance for all.
Do you bite your nails? No, but I pick at them and wind up peeling them off. Right now I think they are all different lengths. And I get hangnails a lot.
If you could change one thing in your life right now, what would it be? I'd like my mate to be healthier
What brand of hairspray do you use? I don't. I have long curly hair - the closest thing would be Infusium conditioner on it after I wash it, but I haven't used that in a long time.
Do you pay for a maid? Are you kidding? Would this place look like this if I could afford that? My brother and his roommate (and yes, he really is a roommate - now) have a lady come by once every two weeks. But they're both single with no kids.
What time did you wake up? I wake up at 7:00 am, unless I have dock duty, then I get up a 4:30 am.
How many WPM do you type? God knows. I've gotten pretty fast over the years, but my official speed would be crap because I make a lot of typos.
What did you eat for breakfast? 2 slices 12-grain bread toast and instant coffee (we're out of the real stuff)
Say one nice thing about a member of lj! Only one? There's too many - but

How much do you spend on groceries in a month? I think most of the rent we pay my dad goes to groceries - he does most of the shopping.
Tell me something funny that happened to you in the last week. Read the last entry.
What book are you reading right now? The Selfish Gene by Richard Dawkins - I'm about 3/4s through,

Are you Happy today? I'm good - one can't be ecstatic all the time.
