OK, Justice League tonight just totally ripped off Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy;
I though the Vogons were supposed be really ugly and write terrible poetry. It turns out they have wings and one of them is dating Green Latern, instead.
Gareth. Avalon and I just got back from visiting Dad in the hospital where he was watching a John Wayne movie. HIs course of IV antibiotics is just about over, and they were orginally going to release him yesterday. However, since it's a holiday weekend, and in case something went wrong when everything is closed, they're keeping him until Monday morning. Good thing I have it off so we can go pick him up. He should be glad to get out; by then he'll have been in the hospital for two weeks. Gareth was fascinated looking at the view from the second story window, and Avalon was alternating hugging her Bear-Bear and shoving him under the bed (to see how it worked, I guess).
Boy, I am really liking Wolf's Rain. Although tell me why when most of the wolves are seen in their human form they have similar coloring, but Tsume and Kiba seem to be reversed. Tsume has white hair and yellow eyes as a human, but turns into a dark gray wolf, and Kiba has dark hair and blue eyes, but turns into a white wolf with golden eyes. I missed the first half, so I'll stay up and watch the repeats later tonight.
Angus is over at Granma's - I'm suprised she took him since he has a cold. He stayed home from school yesterday because he had a slight fever. Not to mention waking me up at 4 am. howling, because he couldn't breathe through his nose. I finally convinced him to let me give him some cold medicine so he could go back to sleep. He's wary of medicine because one time I made him take some that was pretty awful that made him puke all over the bathroom floor. I thought he was just being overly dramatic, but I tasted it myself and it was pretty nasty. When I told him he could have a drink afterward to wash it down he acquiesed.
Yes, I must get the music from FLCL, too. I could watch this over and over just for the soundtrack. I'm trying to think who The Pillows remind me of....Squeeze, perhaps?
John is visiting his buddy, becasue he's on a weekend pass from his halfway house or something, and returning some stuff to him.. I hope John doesn't have too much planned for tomorrow. I was hoping since I actually got paid yesterday we could go to the Highland Games at the fairgrounds in Costa Mesa this weekend. I feel a need for some live Celtic music, although Brother hasn't played there in several years, disappointingly. Alex Beaton and Alisdair Fraser are always there, though. John was going to enter the darts tournament this year, but I think he forgot all about it. The whiskey tasting has always sounded interesting to me, but I'm such a lightweight lately, I doubt if I'd get very far though. XD The kids should like the sheepdog trials. And lots of Men In Kilts. Heh, heh.
You know I'm quite fond of Inuyasha too, but I'm just wondering. Why is it that most of these adventure stories involve 15-year-old girls falling in love with the title character? Why can't we have a mature woman for a change? And what is the deal with drawing every female character in that knock-kneed position? Do we do that in real life? I don't think so....
Boring Saturday, I know. I guess I should go unload the dishwasher, put in another load of laundry, and try to find bottom on the kitchen counters....
They're going to build a hyperspace bypass and totally destroy the Earth!
