li_kao, I'm sorry I'm taking so long with The Selfish Gene, I'm sure you've been wondering where it is. Unfortunately, every time I sit down to read it I get called away after 5 minutes to do something else, so I haven't gotten very far. My original guess of a week was severely underestimated. It is interesting, but non-fiction always takes me longer to get through, and I am being too easily distractable lately. I'm going to make a serious effort to get it done by this weekend.

Don't worry. I've been so swamped with work and books in the reading queue that I've just now finished up Gravitation. So you see, I'm fully prepared to give you all the time you need! :P
