senoritafishWell, my nomination to the Coastal Pelagic Species Management Team is now official. I received a packet from them containing a roster, a form stating that I will not use Pacific Fishery Management Council paper or the copier for personal gain (hard to see how, since those items are in Portland OR and I'm in southern CA), a copy of the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act, and for my convenience, a list of acronyms used by the Council.
The last, although thankfully double-spaced, is 17 pages long. In Arial 8 point font. Maybe 6, I'm not sure.
What am I getting myself into?
