runsamuck told me the owners of the house were cutting down this tree across the street from us, so I wanted some pics of it before it went away.



I'm going to miss it. I suspect the owners will too, when they discover how hot their house gets in the summertime without the shade. There was a rumor they were going to tear down the house as well, which would be really sad as it's kind of historical - it was one of the original old oil company buildings, and probably one of the first in this neighborhood. It appears that's not the case though; they are adding a couple of stories on to the back.



The owner came out on his porch (he's actually renting the blue house next door) and was staring at me (lower right), until runsamuck came over and started talking to him. I guess taking pictures of a tree is suspicious.
