We recently replaced our halogen burner stove with a gas range, something John's always wanted. He's used to them from when he worked as a chef. While I've used them in other places, this is the first time we've had one in our house. I kind of miss my flat glass surface that was easily wiped off, and extra counter space when we needed it. I think the handles of our pots are going to suffer for it, I usually have to use potholders to take something off the stove now, and I'm going to have to remember in winter time to always turn fan on (haven't had to worry about that much this summer, because we always have windows open).

However, every time I turn on a burner, the smell reminds of family camping trips and using a coleman stove. We've been waiting for the kids to get a little bit bigger to start doing that again.

weird, we just this weekend replaced our electric stove with a gas one... i prefer the electric because of the easy cleaning and stuff, but my mom loves the gas stove. i think our house smells like fumes... but whatever. just odd that we both made the switch i guess...

i want to go camping too... but i think i might lose dasan =P

I've always prefered gas over electric. Mostly because a round bottomed wok won't sit right on an electric. :)
